Painting!

I'm taking painting next semester, and I am very excited!!! I have always been interested in painting and I am hoping that this class will really teach me a lot. I some painting in my ap art class in high school and realized that I enjoyed doing mixed media. I like the idea of incorporating something into a painting that isn't necessarily supposed to be there. I am super excited to have prof. Baldwin as a teacher, I have heard nothing but good things about him. I really want to learn a lot in this class. Maybe i'll start practicing over summer :)

My best friend is trying to get into the graphic design program. I talked him into applying to csu a few moths ago. He has been going to trident for the past two years so he has all of his core classes out of the way. He ended up applying and making it in. He was majoring in nursing then changed his major to graphic design this last semester. He has taken all the same classes that we have at csu for graphic design so i'm realllllly hoping he can get into the class. I will be very excited if he does :)

So...my dog's an artist!

My amazing puppy Nala is taking after her mommy! She is a bigggg trouble maker and loves making a mess. She eats anything and every thing and can get ahold of no matter what it is. She loves to dig holes go swimming and then go play in the mud. She is super bad, but I love her soooo much! She is such a little sweetheart! Anyways, she has discovered a talent for sculpting. She finds pinecones and sculpts them into cute little palm trees! haha, it's so funny :) Just thought I'd share that with you all because she is just so amazingly awesome!!!!

Final logo project

My very last final was for graphic design. It's so close to being summer, and I love it. I'm glad to have this exam last..cause I don't really have any studying to do for it. We had to enter three logo competitions. They are pretty cool cause if you win you get prize money. I didn't win any thought..lol. I'm gonna keep entering them over the summer though..who knows maybe if I actually try I might win one. For the final, we had to put on a ai file our entry, the winner and a description of what the host wanted. We went over them in class, and had some food. Prof Speyers wife and baby lucy came to class...she is the cutest dang baby ever! haha..anyways that's about it...It was sad, but I think we were all so ready for summer that we got over it :)

Final

Final week is among us...booo! I'm so ready to be done with school it's ridiculous! One of our finals for graphic design was to write a graphicly designed essay. It was pretty easy to do but a little hard also because the topic was difficult to write about. We had to write about what happens from the time you turn on your computer, to writing a document, to shutting the computer down. After I wrote the paper I added a lot of pictures and it ended up looking really good. I was very happy with the final project

logos, logos, and more logos...

We are still working on our final project, which is making logos. I feel like by the need of my senior year I am going to be able to make logos in my sleep. I am ready to move on and do other things. This is the last time our class will meet before the exam, so that is exciting. I have to do a lot of blogging this weekend cause I still need like eight more.. boooo....

Our monsters were due today, in the first class. I also started on our final project by registering on two different logo competition sites. We have to compete in three different competitions. The winners are awarded money, so it would defiantly be nice to win one. I think I'm going to continue entering these competitions during the summer. Maybe if I enter enough I might actually win something :)
